Here's my story.


I’ve been working as a professional writer since I was 16, covering city government meetings and high school sports for my local newspapers.

After college, I began my career in earnest as a fashion writer for Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, then moved into beauty at Clinique and Aveda. Then came several years of consulting for a broad range of clients—-Donna Karan, Banana Republic, Giorgio Armani and many more.

Next, I “went digital” as an ACD at Digitas, where I helped build the initial Ann Taylor website, as well as major site overhauls for American Express, Chivas Regal and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Then it was back again to beauty, helping launch new brands for Dr. Dennis Gross and an L Brands/Shiseido joint venture.

I returned to Clinique as copy director of clinique.com, responsible for the brand voice and content strategy in ecommerce, digital marketing and social media, and later became the lead writer for global skin care, men's and fragrance programs in all channels.

Now I'm the principal and content lead at Contextrix, my boutique consulting agency. I love the challenge of learning a new brand's DNA and strategizing the best way to tell their story. Recent clients include a tech startup and an ultrapremium cannabis company.
